That said, the style quiz was a total success and I loved everything I received down to the brands, textures, colors, and more importantly… The prices for the Goody Box clothing pieces were affordable! I’m a minimalist at heart, so I’m all about stocking up on capsule wardrobe pieces that I can easily mix and match and keep for years without anyone knowing they’re “so last season”. I was skeptical prior to my Goody box arriving, but I’m happy to say that they nailed it! □ They’ll ask obvious questions like your sizes, favorite colors, brands, least favorite colors & patterns, etc., but I especially loved that I could link my personal Pinterest board full of all my favorite styles so whoever put my box together could really get to know me. You can choose to get a box just once or every 2, 3 or 4 months! Their style quiz is genius too, so you can be sure to receive items that you’ll hopefully love. I love surprise mail! Can I subscribe to get this box? There’s typically a $10 deposit fee when you order a Goody Box, but your $10 deposit fee will even go towards whatever you decide to keep from your box so it will seem like another little discount when you pay for the items you keep! □ Just keep in mind that it’s non-refundable so if you send everything back, you’ll be out $10. So that’s why Goody Boxes are the answer to my (and now your) dreams! Even more exciting, the Goody boxes that they offer are curated with 10 items that are handpicked just for you! But their site is pretty overwhelming with the thousands of items to choose from and you know I love to try things before I buy them. If you didn’t already know, ThredUp is the largest online consignment shop, which happens to be my favorite way to buy clothes since I try to live an eco-friendly lifestyle any way I can. That’s where ThredUp and their Goody Boxes came to the rescue. ![]() When I recently cleaned out my closet during our month-long clean out challenge, I realized I was in desperate need of some new spring and summer staple pieces. Like many of you, I LOVE shopping online, even more so now that all of these stores are closed and we’re stuck inside quarantining. ![]() I am very happy with my new bathing suit bottoms and will be rocking them all summer long.Who doesn’t love stylish & affordable clothes?! The size of your clothes does not matter and ill-fitting clothes should never ever make you feel bad about yourself. So, with all that being said, here is a message for me and for you. I can’t say whether I will do this again because it is super frustrating and, of course, damaging to one’s mental health when something doesn’t fit. ![]() This is still a great way to try out new brands and to explore different styles. But, as I’ve proven, having items from the same brand to choose from doesn’t mean you will get consistent sizing either. This Goody Box was definitely better than my first one, which makes sense because I should be better that someone else at choosing my own clothes, right? I think boxes like this are always going to be tricky though because you don’t have multiple items in the same brand to choose from, which can cause issues with sizing. I hate that shit, so it was even more of a no for me. The quality wasn’t the best and the dress featured my least favorite thing, which is the extra flap of fabric that is not sewn down and is usually at the neckline or the back of the dress. It also, sadly, did not go over my head and shoulders. I love polka dots and green, so it felt like a good choice. ![]() Lastly, I picked out this Eloquii dress because I thought it was cute. The estimated retail price of all of these items, according to ThredUp, is $1,308. If I were to purchase everything that came in my box, it would set me back $464.90. I attempted to select items from brands that I had never tried before and always wanted to try like Good American and Universal Standard, plus some items from more expensive brands that I like, such as Eloquii. No stylists are involved and it is still only $10. With this choice, you can choose ten items from the “My Home Warehouse” filter that are between $15 and $100 per item. This time when I was ordering my box, I noticed a Create Your Own option. I also still think ThredUp is a great option for those folks who don’t like the thrift store or don’t have much luck in the thrift store and I am never going to be upset if someone shops from there. But, you all seemed to enjoy my review so I ordered another box. I didn’t buy anything and I clearly wasn’t moved to do another one or buy anything else from ThredUp until this month. Almost a year ago, I tried my first Goody Box from ThredUp and you could say I had mixed reviews.
